Antique Khmer Style Bronze Angkor Wat Style Vishnu Statue - 53cm/21"
Measures (Height) 53cm/21"
Antique Khmer style Angkor Wat style Vishnu statue.
Standing in samapada and clad in a short sampot with fishtail pleat and jewelled sash, the face with wide features surmounted by a cylindrical headdress. Here Vishnu is teaching with his right arm outstretched and holds one of the Vedic sanskrit texts is his left. In his belt can be seen his sword or Nandaka, literally 'source of joy'.
His softly contoured face with indigenous characteristic has a serene downcast expression, with heavy-lidded eyes, arched eyebrows carved in relief meet in the middle above a well-shaped broad nose, and wide lips with an insipid smile are framed by a second incised line.
The head is covered in tightly braided woven hair, enhanced by a cylindrical-shaped 'Chignon' style topknot, secured by a ribbon, in the Angkor Wat style. This traditional in appearance piece is sure to add a unique touch to any room of your home or workplace.

The image of Ganesha holding a dagger may seem unusual at first, but upon deeper reflection, it reveals layers of spiritual meaning.
The dagger is a powerful symbol of Ganesha’s role as a remover of obstacles—not only the external, material ones but also the internal, mental, and spiritual barriers that keep us from realizing our true potential.
