This antique Thai style Buddha statue, crafted in the renowned 13th-15th century Sukhothai style, depicts the Buddha in the nirvana or enlightenment pose.

Sukhothai style Buddha sculptures are characterized by serene and idealized human forms, depicted with a symmetrical oval face, snail-shell curly hair, a flame-like ushnisha, and a gentle, peaceful smile.

Influenced by Sri Lankan Buddhism, these bronze statues represent the Buddha after his enlightenment and were designed to convey serenity and spiritual power.
