Una coppia di antichi discepoli buddisti in stile birmano: Shariputra e Maudgalyayana. Raffigurato come sculture indipendenti ciascuna è seduta rispettosamente con le gambe da un lato. Shariputra si sporge in avanti, ascoltando attentamente. Maudgalyayana tiene le mani insieme per riverenza. I contemporanei di Buddha, erano leggendari per la loro pietà e potere.
Qui lo scultore ha impartito un toccante senso di tenerezza giovanile. I discepoli hanno un volto pacifico con occhi introspettivi abbattuti e sopracciglia ferme. Ogni intaglio è bellissima come puoi vedere nei dettagli del viso. Ogni dettaglio è reso perfettamente.

Large and/or fragile pieces requiring palletising, specialist crating and/or extra packaging may take a little longer. Palletised shipments will be delivered curbside.
All orders over 35 GBP will be shipped free of charge.
