Ca. Early 20th century Burmese Shwe Zawa lacquerware bowl. Bowls like this would be used at the temples or by high officials.
The bowl is decorated in traditional black and gold Shwe Zawa style with a traditional Burmese motif.
The delicacy of the gilt work, excellent condition and overall style of the piece is very unusual.
The bowl is made of lacquered woven bamboo.
